Friend Connect Farewell
To the 80 people who have followed the blog, using the Friend Connect widget on the right there, I appreciate you. On Wednesday, however, Google Friend Connect will disappear from non-blogger blogs. I’m not sure why, but it is going to happen.
That means that I need to come up with something else to allow people to get notices about my ramblings and I intend to do that before Wednesday. I just wanted you to know that if you stop seeing little notices from ExtremelyAverage.com, that it wasn’t me disappearing into oblivion or anything. I’ll still be here writing the non-sense you have grown to love/tolerate.
I have been planning to make some changes to the site anyway. It seems like it is time to freshen things up a bit, add a spot with a list of signings, stuff like that. So, don’t be surprised if ExtremelyAverage.com gets a makeover in the coming days. Change frightens me, so I will probably devote 3 – 4 hours of fidgeting about it tomorrow and then one additional hour of choosing a new template. Hopefully, that won’t lead to many more hours of trying to answer the question, “How did I mess that up?”
If there is a disaster, though, I’ll be prepared, as I plan on backing everything up first. Always a good idea.
It seems I’ve run out of update items, so I think I be off until tomorrow.
