Absolutes

In life there are a few absolutes. Bacon is the best of the cured meats. Betty White makes anything funnier. A loyal readership is the key to eventual world domination for any writer. That’s about it. Everything thing else is not nearly absolute enough to make the list.

Oh sure, some will start throwing around things like the speed of light, or that bake bean casserole is universally accepted as an abomination when it comes to lunch options. (I have to admit to almost adding the last one to the list, but apparently there is a woman in Mississippi who finds that dish to be almost tolerable, so it was disqualified. She might be nuts, though.) I digress.

The point is that every day I sell a few more books and each one is exciting. Today, someone bought a copy on Amazon, another person, from Minnesota, ordered one from Etsy, and Dad sold one, too. Of course, the best was to sell books is through book signings. It is also a fun way to sell books.

So here are a few photos, the first is from a young man who has demonstrated his discerning taste in reading. The second two photos are from Australia, where Billy and Badger, are discussing whether they should eat my book for the main course or have it after the blog of noms. I told Billy, who is the one with the flowing locks, that I loved my guinea pig fan base and that I felt it was a key to publishing success. He agreed.
